Our goal is simple: help you choose the right VPN based on evidence you can verify, not marketing claims. We cover 20 providers in depth and publish head-to-head comparisons, streaming and platform guides, and plain-English explainers - all held to the same standard of honesty.
We're run by the VPN Daddy editorial team - independent researchers who follow a published methodology and a strict set of honesty rules. We attribute our work to the team rather than inventing individual bylines or credentials we can't back up.
Our Editorial Standards
Every page on this site follows these principles:
- Evidence over claims. Scores and specs come from published documentation, third-party audits (Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, Cure53 and others), documented protocol behaviour, and current pricing - never invented figures.
- No pay-for-placement. No provider can pay to raise a score, win a comparison, or change our recommendation.
- Honest limitations. We say when a VPN can't do something, when a claim can't be guaranteed (like beating a streaming block or a sports blackout), and when a cheaper or free option is the smarter choice.
- No fabricated urgency. No fake countdowns or "exclusive" deals - only real, current pricing.
- Corrections welcome. If a figure is out of date or wrong, we fix it. Email us and we'll update it.
How We Rate VPNs
Each provider is scored on the same weighted scale across five categories - Speed, Privacy, Streaming, Ease of Use, and Value - so comparisons stay consistent. Speed figures are measured against a single reference baseline, which means retention percentages are directly comparable rather than pulled from different conditions. How We Fund Our Work
